This top quality white sage is salvia apiana. Salvia is from the latin word salvare which means to heal. This natural, freshly picked white sage has long been used in cleansing ceremonies. It is used to cleanse negativity from people, objects and dwelling places.
Palo Santo, Spanish for "Holy Wood", is found in the tropical forests of South America and is used for incense, aromatic oil and indigenous medicine. It is burned for its energetically cleansing and healing properties. It is said the true value of this tree comes after its life of up to 90 years - only after having lain on the ground for 3-4 years does it develop the essential oil.
Simply light tip, blow out flame and waft the smoke. Extinguish in sand.

Our sage is harvested by selected Indigenous companies. We chose these suppliers because they support their local communities and also respect their customs and traditions.
This wild sage is harvested by individual pickers (there is no big cultivation nor farms involved). This ensures an ethical harvest which leaves enough plants to self-populate the following year.
The loose sage is sent to us bulk and sticks are hand bundled and wrapped by our suppliers, then shipped to us – where we package on-site.
Palo Santo trees are strictly regulated by the government in Peru. Sustainability is one of the main reasons we chose our current supplier. Suppliers that don’t follow the environmental regulations have their the goods confiscated by the government. Not only does our supplier re-cultivate, but they also recover and reclaim de-forested sections of the rainforest in collaboration with the local communities. They strive for sustainability and encourage customers that want to check up on this to come and visit. To date, over 200 hectares of land has been cultivated, reclaimed or recovered to the rainforest by our supplier.
