Prairie Tanzanite is a recent discovery from the Wyoming jade fields. Geologically speaking, this stone is actually a purple / pink zoisite with cream jade. The misleading name is in honour of the zoisite that comes from Tanzania and the prairies from which it comes. It displays a blend of mottled soft pinks, creams, pale blues and light lilacs.
In healing circles it is said to be soothing and loving and excellent for spiritual protection.
